The Storm that is to Come

On the sixth of November 2024, the sky, the Earth, and all who care for it cried tears of rage and disbelief

The Universe cried too for it’s child
That is being crushed by poisons, wars, and greed
It can now be said in truth
That America cares not for the Earth or its occupants.
Let the billionaires have their way and surely 
When the raping, pillaging, and mutilation, are sated 
The planet  will breathe her last breath and
The powerful will come up with a plan of escape 
To a new world far, far away

Moneyed patriarchy is alive and well
For the moment, they believe
That the women of the world are back
Under their control
We Witches are a frightening and mysterious breed
Demonized, tortured, burned, and crucified for our passion
And yet
We are the creators, the lovers, and the warriors
Time and time again we have proved
That our strength, our power, and our compassion are the healing balm needed to soothe and tame Dragons, Cowardly Lions, and Kings

We, ourselves, are untamable and we will rise again
We are fierce protectors of our children, our homes, and our Mother
Whose strength is growing beyond what mankind can foresee 
Her anger, cleansing storms, and fires will wipe clean the 
Putrifying decimation that is being perpetrated on this planet and its inhabitants 

Who will win and who will survive remains to be seen
But the battle continues for life, liberty, and happiness
We shall not give up as long as our alliance remains strong

So let the masses celebrate their moment in the sun
The clouds are gathering for the storm that is to come

I know this is angry, and yes I am angry. 

I don’t understand why so many are willing to give up freedom for a criminal who has no real interest in them.

I want to believe that good and right will prevail, and I see that we cannot give up. We talk about this fight being over the last ten years, but in all actuality, this fight has been going on for hundreds of years. Women’s rights, Native American rights, and rights for all races, genders, and religions have been going on and on and on.

 Democracy is new, still in its infancy if you consider it from a civilization perspective. Historically, people are not used to making decisions for themselves or allowing others to prosper as they prosper. Government or Religion have always been the rulers until democracy came along and gave people an opportunity to participate in how they lived their lives. 

I believe the speed of technology and social change of the last 50 years and the loss of religious control have made us afraid that we are spinning out of control. We aren’t, we are evolving, and evolution, change, whatever you want to call it means suspending old notions and ideas and allowing ourselves to see beyond our noses. We must think on a global scale, not a small-town America scale. New ideas, new foods, new perspectives, and new ways of dealing with old problems are available on our phones these days. 

These old fears are no longer valid, actually, they never were, they are myths perpetrated on us by those who prefer to keep society under their control. Some examples:

The notion that liberals are turning your children gay or trans, is a lie, there have always been gay and trans people who were just afraid to express themselves because the State or the Religion refused to allow it. This country was finally coming to grips with allowing these folks to be themselves. Don’t let it scare you, you cannot catch gay or trans it’s not a viral disease. Now these people are in fear for their safety and their lives. 

“Immigrants are dirty criminals who only want to steal everything away from you.” This too is a total falsehood. This country is made of immigrants who are the engine of hardworking people who keep this country humming along. They only want to make a living and take care of their families. They are the people who often will take the jobs middle America won’t, like cleaning, cooking, caring for children, construction work, and farming jobs. Now that they will be deported, are you willing to go out and pick the crops in the field, etc.?

Women not being smart enough, or too prone to hysteria to be able to make decisions for themselves, or to run companies, organizations, or countries, or make decisions about their own bodies! This is all insanity! Many of the top companies in this country are run by women and many many countries have had women leaders. The United States is one of the few that hasn’t. What are men afraid of?

So now this country has voted into power an authoritarian who wants to control your life, personally as well as culturally. You were worried about the deep state running your life? Well you just voted the deep state into your bedroom, your living room, your work life, your doctor’s office, and probably every other aspect of your life. 

I believe this will only be a blip in our history, I hope it won’t last long, but that remains to be seen. How much are you willing to give for freedom? That is the question we need to be asking. And the battle continues.
