Castles in the Sand
I was reminded of a time when I was down at the beach during a sand castle competition. I marveled at the incredibly huge and intricate designs created out of sand and water.

This is a follow up painting and poem to my last weeks blog called Sisters. It was done as a tribute to those we love who leave us too soon.
Sisters, is a watercolor that was inspired during a class I was teaching in an art gallery. It was a watercolor class, and the exhibit at the time in the gallery, was a mix of sculpture and paintings.
The pencil painting I am sharing today is called Letting Go, and I would have to say this is kind of a fairytale image. The princess heads off to the castle, dancing along a tightrope high in the clouds.
