Change is hard.
I keep saying that because it’s true.
I need the reminder as much as you do.The status quo has never been my thing.
Always wanting more and always Afraid I will end up with less.
Existing
Is not the answer either.I can’t predict the future
Is a leap of faith worth the risk?
Visions and dreams can be risky
But standing still is no guarantee.
Pros and cons- Let’s make a list.
And yet,
That wild card can change
It all in an instant. Our visions and dreams are
The seeds of the future.
The present is the soil
We plant in.As we age we get more timid.

And yet, change requires a bold heart.
It’s not just for the young.
Sometimes the best thing to do
Is just close your eyes
And take the plunge.

This pencil painting is about personal change. Feeling vulnerable and unable to see what’s next, but knowing that change is inevitable. The whole painting was difficult to place so here is a link.
Sometimes the most important decisions about changing our situation are like that. We can only plan so much and there is always the chance that things might go awry.
Asking others for help often is like asking a mime. Others can give us their thoughts based on their life experiences, but they can only give us generalized opinions that really may not help us. They want the best for us, and they also don’t want us to fail. So they may not see all of the opportunity and possibilities that we see. They also don’t know how much risk we are willing to take or how resilient we are in the face of adversity.
There is also the chance that we don’t want to see the dangers they see. We can be blind to the signals of possible dangers ahead. It is important to be open to hear what they have to share and we have to trust ourselves. We have to listen to our intuition, spirit guides, or our gut feelings. In the end the decisions are our own.
This world continues to be in the midst of massive change and we need to make bold decisions. It’s no longer just about personal change, it is about global change. Now is the time for new ideas, we need the younger generations to be involved and we need to be open enough to listen and share the wisdom of our years. Within the confluence of these two sources is where the answers we need lie. Working together is more important than ever as well as having a bold heart to move forward. Fear of change is gripping our world. Authoritarian ideas are being embraced in hopes of keeping things from changing. They will only delay the necessary growth and expansion that our world needs to keep from being destroyed.
It’s time to Take the Plunge.
Have a Happy Day,
Cheryl
Yep, taking the plunge for change can be scary, but often necessary, especially if current conditions stagnate.
Change can be surprisingly euphoric. Once taken, boldly move forward.
Prove your success to those fearful onlookers and naysayers. At least prove to yourself that you did something. Gotta try.
Your dreams and your ability to create an artistic message from them shows very well in this piece of work, Cheryl.
