There is a lot of talk about finding balance in life.
Don’t we all live on a ledge of some kind or another?
One wrong move could send us into the abyss.Balancing a scale is done
By adding or subtracting fractions of weight.
Too many grains of sand on one side or the other
Destroys the equilibrium. The concept of living a balanced life is not really about
All things being equal.
There really is no safe place,
Calamity could befall us at any moment. The only real possibility of eluding calamity
Is finding a ledge less drastic.
Never make a choice with an uncertain outcome,
Keep your head down,
Your thoughts to yourself,And hope the wind doesn’t change.

Remember the movie Forrest Gump with that feather floating through the air, landing here and there? I always loved this movie opening credits because of that feather. I am sure it was somewhere in the back of my mind when I created this drawing Balance.
It was a metaphor for Forrest. Where ever he went he was in the right place at the right time. He did not worry about whether it was dangerous or whether it was proper, he just went ahead and experienced whatever opportunity came to him. More often then not there was a positive outcome.
If you overthink an opportunity, you might miss out on the best part of your life. There is a moment when we have to decide and we never really know if we are making the right decision until we take a step forward.
So, make a plan, do your research, follow your heart, and then take the leap.
Have a Happy Day,
